Equinix Asia Pacific Offers the Equinix Services Portal Enhancing Customer Support Infrastructure

Singapore - May 31, 2004 - Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced the launch of the Equinix Services Portal (ESP) in the Asia-Pacific region. The service, available to customers of Equinix's Internet Business Exchange™ (IBX®) centers in Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong, provides a convenient portal for the monitoring and management of network operations.

Equinix Services Portal is a Web-based interface providing customers a secure, convenient and reliable suite of essential operations performance management and service provisioning capabilities. The portal enables colocation customers to view up-to-date network and IT operations status on demand. Additional benefits include online access to Equinix's fault management applications as well as visibility into our IBX environmental status from anywhere and anytime.

CITEC's Sydney Operations Manager, Peter Creef says that the new web interface allows him to undertake 'real-time' monitoring of conditions in the Equinix Data Center in which CITEC has a private suite. "I can monitor the condition of the UPS, air-conditioning and back-up generator status from my desktop without making a request to the Equinix service desk. This information helps me to proactively manage our systems", he said.

This service is currently available to Equinix's colocation, network services, and system monitoring customers operating in the company's IBX centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo.
