Foster City, CA and Stockholm, Sweden - March 22, 2004 - Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, and TeliaSonera International Carrier, the leading IP carrier in Europe, today announced that TeliaSonera International Carrier has moved key North American points of presence (POP) into Equinix centers to enhance global connectivity and provide customers new options for IP transit and Ethernet transport services. As a part of the agreement, TeliaSonera International Carrier will immediately begin operations within Equinix Internet Business Exchange™ (IBX®) centers located in the Chicago, New York, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. areas.

TeliaSonera International Carrier will leverage its presence in Equinix's network-rich hubs to execute critical traffic exchange and to sell IP transit on its global network. With more than 170 networks participating in Equinix's centers, TeliaSonera International Carrier will be able to exchange data traffic with the largest aggregation of networks, without intermediary networks or bottlenecks.
