WARP Solutions Announces Next GenerationVersion of SpiderCache Enterprise
HostReview.com
NEW YORK (March 18, 2004) – WARP Technology Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: WRPT), a leading provider of network and application acceleration software, today unveiled SpiderCache Enterprise v4. This next-generation product offers a flexible, software-based approach to accelerate the delivery of Web-based dynamic content and applications which use Apache or Microsoft Web servers by up to 40 times, while increasing the capacity of the existing IT infrastructure. New features of SpiderCache Enterprise v4 include advanced clustering capabilities, remote site management with support for parent/child server configurations, an improved Web administration console, enhanced security and encryption, and new, flexible caching invalidation options. This software application does not require the installation of additional hardware and enables organizations to leverage existing network resources to scale their Web infrastructure and reduce costs. SpiderCache Enterprise v4 is one of several new WARP products that represent the company's shift in product strategy, focused on developing software and software-based appliances – all designed to accelerate business-critical applications and content delivered over IP-based networks. “The new SpiderCache Enterprise is one of several products the company plans to launch this year, all geared around improving performance and reliability, and reducing costs,” explained Gus Bottazzi, President and CEO at WARP. “Our new business model and product strategy provides organizations and service providers of all sizes with a flexible, cost-effective solution suite to optimize their IT investments and achieve greater levels of performance .” SpiderCache Enterprise reduces the processing requirements on active servers by locally caching dynamically generated content from Web-based applications. The software can be deployed in a standalone Web server or in a distributed, branch office environment. SpiderCache Enterprise can be deployed in a clustered environment or grouped into sites. Each site includes at least one SpiderCache application, which can be connected in a parent-child relationship where the parent manages the respective child locations. This gives enterprises organizations the ability to place one or more SpiderCache servers in front of their application server, and child servers at remote offices to increase the server response rate and to reduce bandwidth usage. SpiderCache Enterprise's improved Web administration console makes it even easier to manage the caching engine. The system's new enhanced security features include authentication and encryption to safeguard login privileges. Additionally, the software includes custom scripts for system administrators to configure hardware and network settings, including time and date, and relevant password settings. Expanding the existing invalidation methods, the new version adds the flexibility to cache or not cache user-defined content based on multiple strings from the server response. In addition to SpiderCache Enterprise, WARP is also planning other versions, including SpiderCache RP, and SpiderCache RP Node. SpiderCache RP is a Reverse Proxy, multi-function software-based appliance that is designed to deploy an application delivery network (ADN). SpiderCache RP Node works in conjunction with SpiderCache RP, typically deployed in remote locations or branch offices as child nodes. Pricing & Availability
