Metavante Selects Opsware Automation Software

Financial Technology Provider to Deploy Opsware System 4 in Multiple Data Centers

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- February 24, 2004 -- Opsware Inc. (NASDAQ: OPSW), the leading provider of data center automation and utility computing software, today announced that Metavante Corporation, the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI), has selected the Opsware System to automate its data center operations. Metavante will use Opsware to automate many of the manual, time-intensive tasks associated with managing a complex, multi-data center IT environment.
