Sunnyvale, CA -- February 18th, 2004 -- Opsware Inc. (NASDAQ: OPSW), the leading provider of data center automation and utility computing software, today announced availability of the Japanese Edition of Opsware System 4. As part of the previously announced partnership with NEC Corporation, NEC will be the first reseller of the new Japanese Edition, and will also provide customer support and services in Japan.

Highlights of the new Opsware product include:

The ability to run the Opsware System itself on Red Hat Linux 7.3 Japanese and Oracle 9i Japanese.

The capability to automate a broad range of Japanese platforms including servers running Japanese versions of Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, HP-UX, AIX, and Red Hat Linux.
The capability to automate Japanese versions of all software infrastructure and applications.
