DALLAS, February 16, 2004— The Planet Internet Services, Inc., a Dallas-based global provider of managed hosting and value-added data center services, is partnering with WebHost Automation Ltd. to provide its Server Matrix Division customers with WebHost Automation’s Helm control panel software. Under the open-ended agreement, the Server Matrix Division of The Planet will offer Helm at a monthly fee to customers who purchase, rent or co-locate a Windows-based server. Server administrators at any skill level can use the multi-server management and control system to automate day-to-day tasks that are otherwise completed by highly trained technicians. “Our customers asked for it, and now we’re delivering,” said Peter Pathos, president and chief executive officer of The Planet. “Helm easily and effectively manages features that companies of all sizes want and need, including e-mail and Web-hosting functions. It’s a great fit as our preferred control panel for low-end servers using Windows 2000 and 2003.” “The Planet is one of the fastest-growing Web-hosting companies in the United States and this partnership will continue to spread the benefits of our Helm software to companies across the globe,” said Mark Hall, director of WebHost Automation. “Helm provides a broad range of services for the Web-hosting business, whether it’s controlling a single e-mail address or managing the billing for an entire company.” WebHost Automation Ltd., based in the United Kingdom, designs and develops software-based systems for the Web hosting industry. The company previously provided its software for individual businesses, but now offers off-the-shelf systems for all Web hosting businesses.
