Innovative New Multicast Service Delivers Performance Gains, Cost Savings, Data Choices And, For The First Time, End-to-End Service Guarantees

ST. LOUIS & CHICAGO - December 15, 2003 - SAVVIS Communications (NASDAQ: SVVS), a leading global managed services provider, and HyperFeed Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: HYPR), a developer of ticker plant technology, software and managed services, today announced a partnership to launch the SAVVIS Data Delivery Utility, a global network distribution service that enables cost-effective, low-latency delivery of real-time financial content. In addition, the new service will offer the industry's first end-to-end Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that guarantee network performance, and SAVVIS maintains exclusive rights to distribute Data Delivery Utility worldwide.

SAVVIS' Data Delivery Utility seamlessly integrates HyperFeed's Managed Exchange Platform Services (MEPS) and H!BOX software with SAVVIS' global infrastructure and management and monitoring systems. This combination allows the industry to "plug into" a high-performance, yet turnkey utility service for the normalization, data-basing, integration and transmission of high performance, real-time direct data sources running on a "five 9's" private network featuring multicast. Exchanges, financial institutions, content providers, and applications developers will find Data Delivery Utility to be a compelling service for the consumption and transmission of real-time, directly sourced financial information.

For example, the Data Delivery Utility collects raw data feeds from the major trading venues and data sources in North America including: American Stock Exchange, Archipelago ECN, Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Island ECN, Montreal Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, New York Board of Trade, New York Mercantile Exchange, NYSE, OPRA, and the Toronto Stock Exchange. These content sources are then dynamically cleansed, normalized, and compressed using HyperFeed technology and delivered to users via SAVVIS' global multicast network. The first North American exchanges will be live on Data Delivery Utility by the end of 2003, with additional exchanges rolled out globally in the first half of 2004.

Via entitlements and permissioning systems, customers access only the data they elect to receive and are not forced to take bundled sets of financial content. Finally, included with the Data Delivery Utility are adaptors to a number of widely used middleware platforms that allow for easy integration with off-the-shelf industry applications or proprietary applications and systems.
