San Ramon, CA and Redwood Shores, CA, November 4th, 2003 — Librados and Collaxa are joining forces to deliver a seamless application integration and business process orchestration solution that will significantly reduce implementation cost and complexity. The partnership between Librados and Collaxa will provide a low-cost, 100% standards-based alternative to expensive and proprietary EAI and BPM products.

The joint JCA and BPEL standards-based solution will allow customers to, (1) Connect out-of-the-box to enterprise applications and services, (2) Orchestrate these IT resources into business processes, and (3) Manage and monitor the processes once deployed.

Collaxa's BPEL Orchestration Server integrates seamlessly with Librados's JCA adapters. The JCA adapters plug into a BPEL binding framework, exposing enterprise applications as Web services. A BPEL designer creates processes that easily tap into the JCA-accessible IT resources. At deployment, a BPEL engine orchestrates interactions with the external resources while a BPEL console manages these interactions to provide complete visibility and monitoring.
