NetScaler Broadens Product Line With New Secure Application Accelerator

SANTA CLARA, CA (October 29, 2003) - NetScaler, Inc., the application intelligent networking company, today announced the release of its Secure Application Accelerator, the latest addition to its customer-proven 9000 Series product line. Built as a focused, entry-level solution for providing the key elements of application-layer security and optimization, the Secure Application Accelerator is a simple-to-deploy, complementary product for existing network infrastructures that enables enterprises of all sizes to ensure the secure, high-performance delivery of their business-critical applications. Customers of the Secure Application Accelerator can upgrade to the 9200/9600 Secure Application Gateway and 9400/9800 Secure Application Switch products as their enterprise continues to grow and they face the need for more functionality and additional streamlining of their network infrastructure.

The Secure Application Accelerator comes in three models - 9050, 9100, and 9500 -and incorporates a key set of application-layer security, optimization, and remote access capabilities. Each product includes SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) acceleration, TCP optimization, DDoS attack protection, and static/dynamic caching, as well as support for up to 2,500 remote access users via SSL VPNs.

Pricing and Availability
Secure Application Accelerator is priced at US$10,000 for the entry-level 9050 base system with the higher capacity 9100 and 9500 models priced at US$17,500 and US$25,000 respectively. Each rack-mount unit comes equipped with 2-5 Ethernet ports and optional in-memory static/dynamic caching. All three units will be available in November.
