NaviSite Selects Ensim Unify to Rapidly Launch Exchange 2003 Services
HostReview.com Sunnyvale, Calif., Oct. 28, 2003 - Ensim Corporation, the global leader in hosting automation software, today announced that NaviSite, Inc., a leading provider of application, messaging and infrastructure management services, is the first company to launch services based on the Ensim Unify platform. NaviSite was able to deploy hosted Microsoft Exchange Server 2003-based services to its customers within the first 30 days of selecting Ensim Unify. Ensim Unify is the result of close collaboration between Microsoft Corp. and Ensim Corp., to provide the first operation support system and a portfolio of snap-in software for specific hosted services, such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and ASP.NET Web sites. A carrier grade solution, Ensim Unify offers a common set of processes for resource management, provisioning, monitoring, metering and self-management; and a single point of integration for existing business systems, new services and emerging technologies. "Being one of the first companies to offer managed Exchange 2003 is proof positive that we are committed to offering our customers innovative services based on leading-edge technologies," said Will Scott, vice president of products and services, at NaviSite, Inc. "After evaluating other software solutions, it was clear that Ensim Unify was the right product that would let us come to market quickly with the robust provisioning and management features that our customers require." Ensim Unify enables NaviSite to provide its customers with the latest Exchange Server 2003-based offerings and a high quality of service. It allowed NaviSite to meet its aggressive time-to-market schedule for Hosted Exchange, with minimal upfront costs and risks. With Ensim Unify, NaviSite can efficiently deploy and deliver a full range of tiered services with the opportunity to maximize on revenues per customer. "We wanted to be up and running on Exchange Server 2003, specifically its rich-mailbox capabilities, as quickly as possible," said Craig Campbell, vice president of engineering and operations at One Mind Connect, one of first users of NaviSite's Exchange 2003 service. "We selected NaviSite's service to get quick access to the features of Exchange 2003, but without the burden of the internal support it requires."
"We're excited to partner with a leader like NaviSite on their Exchange Server 2003 services," said Steve Dauber, vice president of Ensim Corporation. "The combination of Ensim software and NaviSite's premium hosting services will enable small and mid-sized businesses to benefit from leading edge technologies far faster than has been historically possible."
