TippingPoint Technologies Launches Partner Program; PremierPartners Will Deliver Active Network-Defense Solutions

(TPTI) , the active network-defense systems company, today announced the launch of its PremierPartner Program, which provides value-added resellers and systems integrators with sales, marketing, implementation and support tools necessary to offer clients scalable, reliable, network-based security solutions through UnityOne.

"The PremierPartner program presents a tremendous opportunity for systems integrators and value-added resellers to expand their product offering and increase their revenue streams," said Kent A. Savage, chief marketing and sales officer for TippingPoint. "Since TippingPoint's UnityOne is the only security product that can detect and prevent threats at speeds up to two gigabits-per-second, partners who sign on early will reap the rewards of selling a competitive product in high demand. There are two PremierPartners categories:
-- Value-Added Reseller (VAR) PremierPartner: To qualify, partners must designate a point of contact and work with a TippingPoint relationship manager to identify regional security opportunities. Current VAR partners include Flair Data Systems, Trellis Networks, and Intelligent Decisions.
-- Systems Integrator (SI) PremierPartner: To qualify, partners must designate a point of contact to work with a TippingPoint relationship manager, and commit to identifying national, federal and international opportunities. The program enables partners to provide an integrated network-protection solution that includes their security services. TippingPoint has a strategic alliance with Northrop Grumman.


Both partnership categories will have equal access to quality marketing and technical materials on TippingPoint's PremierPartner portal site. To ensure partner success, all partners will work with a dedicated TippingPoint representative to co-develop joint business plans, assist with lead generation and sales, and oversee joint implementations. Other sales and marketing benefits consist of co-branded marketing collateral, joint publications, co- promotions, co-participation in trade shows and conferences, customer success stories, joint press releases and Web marketing.

In addition to comprehensive sales and marketing support, partners will receive best-of-breed, comprehensive technical support, training and education. TippingPoint offers fee-based certification training in the areas of sales, deployment, administration and management of UnityOne. Partners also have the option to receive technical field training, product refresh briefings, trainer training, on-line training and phone support.

Through the program, PremierPartners can offer clients a solution that will improve corporate profitability with advanced security through UnityOne, the industry's first ultra-high performance active network-defense system that detects and blocks network attacks -- worms, viruses, Trojan horses, blended threats and denial-of-service attacks -- at 2 gigabits-per-second.
