Dedicated hosting provider ,Hivelocity (www.hivelocity.net), has announced the introduction of spam and virus filtering to the list of services it now offers with a dedicated server or VPS.

According to the Hivelocity customer newsletter sent Thursday, this new service is available to enable within the existing customer portal (my.hivelocity).   The Hivelocity system updates itself every 5 minutes to the latest spam threats and trends from around the world.   The system analyzes and tags the sending mail server, network data, header data, message content and other attributes of over 500,000 new spam messages every hour.   These messages are then blocked from user inboxes and available to review through a sophisticated quarantine management interface.
