CloudLinux’s KuberDock 1.5 Is Now Available, Delivers The Most Stable Platform Yet

10:26:07 - 09 December 2016

With the platform running on Docker 1.12, with added support for ZFS local storage, and Calico solution for networking, KuberDock 1.5 delivers utmost stability and reliability to its customers.

Palo Alto, California (PRWEB)December 09, 2016 - CloudLinux, the maker of the leading operating system for hosting providers, has announced the release of KuberDock 1.5. After a month of private beta, KuberDock’s latest version is now available for purchase to new customers and a free upgrade to KuberDock current customers. It is the result of feature implementations based on customers’ feedback, and company’s efforts to make KuberDock more reliable and stable than ever.

KuberDock 1.5 has upgraded to Docker 1.12 version for better stability, security, and reliability. This version yields the new level of reliability, important performance improvement, and creates new opportunities to rapidly implement new features in the KuberDock platform.

KuberDock is now based on the Calico solution for networking. With almost no overheads, it produces immediate advantages such as improved scalability, more reliable and flexible isolation at pod and cluster levels, and out-of-the-box support of the most popular public cloud platforms — AWS, GCE, and DigitalOcean. It also simplifies KuberDock maintenance due to global community involvement in the solution development and stabilization.

New with KuberDock version 1.5 is the support for ZFS local storage backend as an alternative to XFS. ZFS file system natively manages both disks and volumes similarly to RAID technologies, protects data against disk errors caused by bugs in the firmware, malfunctions of the hardware and even bad cables, corrects any error using redundant data, offers a sophisticated layered caching, and much more. KuberDock is now armed with file system consistent backups based on ZFS, which is the default Local Storage backend when deploying KuberDock in AWS.

Hosting providers will also appreciate Shared IP feature improvement - KuberDock version 1.5 has added CloudFlare to the list of available DNS providers.

KuberDock is a revolutionary platform which allows hosters to expand their application hosting portfolio by offering access to 100K+ of dockerized apps. Dozens of companies are now deploying Dockerized application hosting powered by the KuberDock platform to their customers. Here are the success stories fromUpCubeandIntraWeb.
