MemSQL Launches The "Database Speed Test" Through New Release Of MemSQL Ops

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired) - (IN-MEMORY COMPUTING SUMMIT) MemSQL (www.memsql.com), the leader in real-time databases for transactions and analytics, today announced the latest release of MemSQL Ops, which provides a simple graphical interface for MemSQL installation and cluster deployment, and a real-time view of key usage metrics in a cluster.

As part of the release, MemSQL Ops now offers users the unique ability to run a 30-second performance benchmark test on MemSQL deployments. The new database speed test creates a lightweight database table, inserts records as quickly as possible and performs basic analysis on the changing dataset in real-time.

Additional features make it easier for users to implement MemSQL, including:

• One-click to high availability: With one click, users seamlessly upgrade to high availability. After the upgrade operation completes, all data in a database cluster will have a replica in another MemSQL node.
• Direct sign-up for MemSQL Enterprise Edition: Users who want to try MemSQL Enterprise can do so directly and quickly through the MemSQL Ops User Interface (UI).
• HTTPS in web UI: Users are able to access MemSQL Ops through an HTTPS:// URL by adding SSL certificates in MemSQL Ops.
• Additional Command Line Functions: Users can now create database backups, restore databases from existing backups, and change database root passwords through new scriptable commands.
