09:21:29 - 18 March 2015

Leading cloud-based solution allows SMBs to easily build websites for any device with built-in e-commerce, SEM Analytics and marketing tools

RENTON, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Parallels today announced a collaboration with Yola to offer Web Business Builder – powered by Yola. The partnership with Yola, and its integrated technology partners Ecwid and SiteWit, will allow Parallels partners to sell an integrated set of web presence services.

“Web Business Builder gives our channel partners a proven platform, fully-integrated with Parallels Automation and Plesk, which they can brand as their own. It gives their SMB customers the ease-of-development and built-in features they need to build their online business,” said Alex Danyluk, vice president, Alliances, Parallels.

“This exciting partnership enables us to further leverage the investment made in our Private Label program and reach the thousands of service providers who are using Parallels to automate their business,” said Trevor Harries-Jones, chief executive officer, Yola. “The Web Business Builder offering will help Parallels partners generate new revenues and lower churn by providing an easy-to-use toolset for SMBs to create professional websites that attract new customers and drive online sales, furthering Yola’s mission to take business online.”

Key feature highlights of the solution include:

  • Advanced style designer gives users the ability to highly customize professional-looking websites that renders on any device.
  • Customization of websites as a premium service.
  • Fully enabled social media integration and mobile website publishing with e-commerce support.
  • Innovative SEO monitoring tools with keyword usage and traffic reports.
  • Premium website analytics and built-in marketing tools.
  • AdWord purchasing through SEM Analytics, which optimizes sales campaigns and lowers an SMB’s cost per click – powered by SiteWit.
  • Full integration of advanced e-commerce tools – powered by Ecwid.
  • End-to-end e-commerce with inventory management, order tracking, integrated tax calculations and real-time shipping.

“Yola is part of a group of SaaS web presence services that has been a disruptive force in the consumer market for web hosting,” said Liam Eagle, analyst, 451 Research. “Not only have these services raised the bar for website builder capabilities, but they have greatly influenced user expectations for web presence services. As a result, we have observed revenue growth in web presence businesses during the last several years that far outpaces the average for shared web hosting, and significant outside investment in the space during the last year. Yola is a service comparable with the best web presence tools on the market. By offering it to service provider customers, Parallels is enabling them to offer a product competitive with the leading alternatives and comparable with their expectations.”

“We are very pleased to be part of this new Web Business Builder partnership,” said Ruslan Fazlyev, chief executive officer, Ecwid. “A key aspect of any SMB website is to enable sales, but most customers think e-commerce is hard to set up. At Ecwid, we focus on making this easy and by including the ability to explore building an online store in every WBB offering, from Starter to Premium, it will drive SMBs to convert to a paid e-commerce subscription through the organic upsell feature of Yola. That’s a big plus for service providers, as they are generating new revenues with little investment in marketing.”

“This partnership brings together a great set of integrated technologies that SMBs need to build their business online,” said Ricardo Lasa, chief executive officer, SiteWit. “By including website and online store analytics, it gives the Parallels channel partner a competitive differentiator. Moreover, it provides them with a new revenue stream around Search Engine Marketing Analytics and AdWord Campaigns – one that will drive traffic to their customers’ websites.”
