Another Year of Record Growth for the World’s Largest Hosting Provider

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SoftLayer Technologies®, the innovative on-demand data center services provider, continued to show its financial strength throughout 2010. SoftLayer provides highly automated, on-demand data center and IT services that allow businesses to more efficiently utilize their resources and decrease their capital expenditures.

  • $280 million in revenue (40% cloud / 60% dedicated), following a successful merger with the Planet
  • +38% EBITDA
  • Growth to more than 26,000 active customers across 110+ countries
  • More than 76,000 deployed servers
  • Received New Product Innovation of the Year Award from Frost and Sullivan
  • Included in Gartner’s Niche Players Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Web Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure Services

Significant achievements, updates, and launches have included:

  • Integration with the Planet is largely complete, with remaining projects on track to be done by 31 March, 2011
  • New global corporate headquarters in North Dallas
  • Cloud services and options including Build Your Own Cloud, Isilon® IQ, Cloudkick Cloud Hosting Tools, and Citrix® Cloud Solutions
  • Network POPs in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Jose, and Seattle
