The sample code showcases the versatility and robustness of the company’s leading open Application Protocol Interface (API).

SoftLayer customers can leverage the API to create custom applications or control processes of any size, from small tools like the desktop gadgets to large-scale, infrastructure management workflows that automatically add servers to an environment when demand peaks. The API supports the use of SOAP, REST, and XML-RPC interfaces, and—as an open, standards-based platform—can fully integrate with any third-party or custom application.
