CommentsSAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rackspace® Hosting (NYSE: RAX), the world’s leading specialist in the hosting and cloud computing industry, announced that it ranked number 11 on the Forbes’ listing of the Top 100 Best Small Companies in America (www.forbes.com/forbes). This is Rackspace’s second consecutive year on the list.

Forbes specifically pointed out in its listing that Rackspace “sales have increased 51% annually the past five years and the company has been bringing on new bodies to help meet demand. In the last two fiscal years, it has boosted headcount by 37%, to 2,774.”
The annual list focuses on public companies with annual revenue between $5 million and $1 billion. Each company’s ranking is based on its earnings growth, sales growth and its return on equity over the past 12 months and over five years. The listed companies must have a stock price no lower than $5 a share, and must have been publicly traded for more than a year. Also, Forbes compared each company’s stock performance to that of its peers. The listed companies sell everything from health care to denim jeans.
