SEPATON Names Joe Forgione SVP Business Development and Product Management

MARLBOROUGH, MA - October 5, 2010 - SEPATON, Inc., the leader in enterprise-class disk-based data protection solutions, today announced the appointment of Joe Forgione as senior vice president of business development and product management.

In this new role, Forgione will provide focused leadership in identifying, negotiating, and executing strategic alliances and business relationships to enable SEPATON's continued growth and to further strengthen its position as an industry leader. Forgione will also lead SEPATON's product management team to ensure that the company's business development strategy, product development, and business development efforts are strategically aligned. He will report to Fidelma Russo, SEPATON's chief operating officer.

"Joe's broad experience in business development and senior management, along with his many years of experience in the information technology industry, make him a key addition to our team," said Russo. "I expect him to work very closely with our executive team to ensure our customers continue to receive the enterprise-class products and services that SEPATON customers have come to expect."

Forgione brings to this position extensive senior management experience in large high technology companies. Most recently, he was CEO of mValent, a data center applications management software company, where he formed a major reseller partnership with HP and subsequently negotiated mValent's acquisition by Oracle in 2009. He also served as CEO for Eprise, a content management start-up, where he led the company's IPO and acquisition by Divine. Forgione has also held executive positions in general management and solution and product management with Novell, Lotus/IBM and Data General.

Forgione holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of business and a BS in engineering from MIT.
