Florida State University has made an important decision: to safeguard its computerized transactions with a secure socket layer (SSL) from Comodo CA Ltd.

Florida State University has been ranked #52 of the top universities worldwide in the 2008 Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. The ranking measures scientific communication of scholarly language. Besides scholarly communications, a lot of sensitive information is transmitted in educational files: health, financial, disciplinary, and academic. With ubiquitous computers, users expect to be able to share this information rapidly. At the same time, they expect that the organizations will keep it safe from outside eyes.
