HOUSTON, Nov. 3, 2008 – The Planet, the global leader in IT hosting, today announced three new promotions on its complex infrastructure solutions, providing customers with cost-effective options for upgrading their hosted environments.
Beginning today, customers can add servers to their private or virtual racks at a 50 percent discount for the first two months. The discount applies to select servers from The Planet’s portfolio, including the Dual Xeon 5405, the Core2 Duo 4500 and the Xeon 3040.
For new private rack customers with three or more servers, The Planet is discounting its shelf prices to $100 per month, a savings of more than 70 percent.
The company is also offering a 50 percent discount on its RAID cards for private and virtual rack customers, which increase server performance and reliability.
