The datacenter provides optimal latency to most cities throughout the United States, and provides better connectivity to the East Coast and Midwest, as opposed to datacenters based in Dallas, Texas. Future Hosting will immediately offer its cPanel, Plesk and 32-bit OS Virtual Private Server plans at the new datacenter. Eventually, the company plans to offer Hybrid and HSPcomplete Virtual Private Server plans in Chicago.
“The addition of our Chicago datacenter is the beginning of our focus to increase the geographic dispersion of our servers,” said Vikram Patel, Future Hosting CEO. “The goal is to provide the end user with the scalability needed for their businesses to succeed. This includes being able to upgrade their existing plan with little or no downtime, and having the necessary infrastructure so true global load balancing is possible.”
Additional geographic locations allow businesses to select a datacenter closest to them and their primary customer base, providing them with the best possible connectivity for their needs. The Chicago datacenter includes connections to various internet backbones, including Savvis, PCCW Global, TeliaSonera, and GameRail.
Future Hosting will maintain the same Service Level Agreement (SLA) at the Chicago datacenter, guaranteeing 99.9% uptime as well as all standard services, such as 100mbps ports, redundant DNS servers, and more.
