8 to Infinity Pte Ltd enhances their Windows and Linux web hosting with the enhancements of their hosting packages to support PHP 5 and My SQL 5.
“The large number of open sources as well as popular scripts requiring My SQL 5 and PHP 5 results in many requests for 8 to Infinity to support these features, both in our Linux and Windows hosting packages.” said Lim Boon Chuan, Chief Technical Officer of 8 to Infinity.
The additional feature is offered free of charge by 8 to Infinity and will be a standard feature on all new Windows Infinity virtual servers offerings and all Linux virtual servers offerings. 8 to Infinity expects the take up rate will be high as many of the developers hosted by them had already expressed their wish for the My SQL 5 and PHP 5 combination. This demand is expected to increase drastically as more and more of the popular open source software packages adopt My SQL 5 and PHP 5.
With the distinct advantage of speed and functionality of My SQL 5 and PHP 5 combination, it is expected to be widely adopted by open source software vendors.
