(March 8, 2007) – Peak 10, the largest independent data center operator and managed services company in the eastern United States, has promoted Monty Blight to vice president and general manager of managed services. He will direct Peak 10’s continuing focus and growth in managed services, new product development and partner relationships.
“Monty has been a formidable contributor to the success of the company for over five years and as a result, he understands our markets, services and what it takes to deliver superior customer value,” said David H. Jones, president and chief executive officer of Peak 10. “We are fortunate to have a key senior executive with his background and knowledge leading the growth and expansion of our managed services.”
Blight’s promotion is a response to a steady increase in the number of new and existing Peak 10 customers asking for help in managing their expanding mission-critical equipment and applications to enable their in-house technical staff to address daily business IT needs.
“There are just so many customers whose business success is outstripping their ability to properly fund and staff reliable IT functions in-house,” Blight said. “We work closely with them to provide scalable, economical options to grow their business without being buried by the increased storage, security and server management needs. Other customers simply choose to focus their technology staff on their core business applications while leaving the mundane but ultra critical infrastructure and services piece to Peak 10.”
According to Blight, more and more customers are asking Peak 10 to centrally manage their enterprise applications and equipment in one of Peak 10’s state-of-the-art, secure data centers.
