SAVVIS Aligns and Strengthens Operations, Product Engineering and Development with Key Management Changes

SAVVIS, Inc., a global leader in IT infrastructure services for business applications, announced key management changes improving the alignment of the companys technical and operating groups, product engineering, development, customer service and support. The changes reflect the companys focus on improving infrastructure quality and service reliability, optimizing and enhancing processes and systems, and targeting markets and customers.

Timothy Caulfield and Michael Tardif have been promoted and appointed as Senior Vice Presidents reporting directly to Phil Koen, SAVVIS Chief Executive Officer.

Caulfield was named Senior Vice President of Operations where he leads the company's technical and operating groups including: service delivery, hosting and network services, security services, customer support, carrier management, corporate quality, and capacity management. Previously, Caulfield headed up SAVVIS Global Solutions team where he oversaw professional services, solution design engineering, and customer account management.

Before joining SAVVIS in March 2004, Caulfield served as Senior Vice President of Consulting and Hosting Services for Cable & Wireless America and led operations for Exodus Communications which was acquired by Cable & Wireless, PLC. Prior to these roles, he held business development, operations, and marketing positions with Gateway Computer and Sequent Computer Services, a division of IBM.

Tardif was named Senior Vice President of Product Engineering and Development where he oversees the companys product roadmap and long term product strategy. He leads product engineering, operations support software, technical assurance, portal development, hosting products integration, project management and quality control.

Previously, Tardif had served as Vice President & General Manager of Global Hosting Services where he was responsible for providing overall direction and strategy, guiding the development of new products and services, identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, and continuing to grow SAVVIS market share.

Prior to joining SAVVIS, Tardif served as Vice President of Technology at VERITAS where he assisted businesses with their transformation to a more demand-driven IT infrastructure. Prior to this, Tardif held senior executive positions at Storage Networks where he oversaw delivery of storage services to Fortune 100 clients, and Goldman Sachs Group, Inc where he led technical operations supporting a 2,000 person global IT organization.
