Web hosting provider Intermedia.NET now offers free ActiveSync as a service to its Exchange hosting customers. The new offering will let Intermedia.NET's Exchange hosting customers to sync their Windows Mobile 5.0 devices automatically for free through the new "push email" feature.

With most American corporations relying on Microsoft Exchange for their corporate email programs, ActiveSync (http://www.intermedia.net/activesync) makes it easy for corporate America to access data from anywhere using the latest wireless gadgets. It acts as an automatic gateway between PCs and mobile-based devices, enabling the transfer of Exchange data, including Outlook information, Office documents, pictures, music, videos and applications.
In addition to synchronizing with a PC, ActiveSync also allows direct synchronization with Microsoft Exchange Server, which lets users keep e-mail, calendar data, tasks and contact information updated wirelessly while away from the office.
