Introducing Aplus.Net’s Web-A-Photo for TiVo® (www.web-a-photo.com), a service that lets people view photos directly on their TV screens, even without a computer.

Photos must first be uploaded to Web-A-Photo, Aplus.Net’s online photo storage service. Using Web-a-Photo is simple, even for so-called computer illiterates. A user downloads the free Web-a-Photo client and sets up a free account at www.web-a-photo.com. The software then starts uploading, automatically recognizing almost any camera or media card reader. When the system is in place, photos can be viewed, rotated, zoomed, displayed, e-mailed, and much more, simply by using the TiVo® remote control. A slide show option is also available, and users can order prints of their photos—all via TiVo® remote.
The service is particularly well-suited to large gatherings, offering a much more viewable source than a standard PC monitor. And in its latest improvement, Web-A-Photo for TiVo® even works without a computer. Consumers with only a TV and a TiVo® Digital Video Recorder can still connect to a public TiVo® server to enjoy all the benefits of Web-A-Photo for TiVo®.
The new TiVo®-enabled Web-a-Photo service is available in Beta version free of charge at www.web-a-photo.com.
