CommentsSAVVIS, Inc. (www.savvis.com) announced that Pfizer Health Solutions Inc, the care management subsidiary of Pfizer Inc, has signed a contract with SAVVIS for comprehensive managed hosting services.
Under terms of the three-year, £1.76 million pound contract, Pfizer Health Solutions will deploy SAVVIS’ fully resilient IT infrastructure solution in Europe. This includes managed network services, servers, storage, and disaster recovery services.
SAVVIS’ managed hosting environment will support InformaCare®, a comprehensive, proprietary, Internet-enabled care management application that helps healthcare organisations manage populations and support individuals with selected chronic conditions.
“Our clients currently work with over half a million patients, and we expect that number to rise over the next year,” said John Sory, vice president of Pfizer Health Solutions.
“Innovative applications like InformaCare help to make healthcare more accessible and reduce overall healthcare costs,” said Richard Warley, Managing Director of EMEA for SAVVIS.
Pfizer Health Solutions Inc, the wholly-owned care management subsidiary of Pfizer Inc, partners with healthcare and community organisations to implement patient-centred programs that focus on prevention, disease management and care coordination to improve patient health and efficiency of healthcare delivery.
