Epicor VARs and Authorized Consultants See Growth and Increased Market Opportunity with Epicor for Service Enterprises Solution

Epicor Software Corporation (www.epicor.com), a provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the midmarket, today announced that its enterprise service automation (ESA) focused channel partners are experiencing growth and increased market opportunity with Epicor for Service Enterprises.

Epicor value-added resellers (VARs) and authorized consultants (ACs) including Epaccsys, Emerald Consulting Partners and Exotek LLC have successfully completed implementations of Epicor for Services Enterprises, the first end-to-end enterprise service automation (ESA) solution for services organizations based entirely on XML Web services and the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Epaccsys, recently named “EMEA Partner of the Year” in Epicor’s 2005 Channel Partner Awards and the 2004 “Vertical Industry Partner of the Year,” doubled its revenues year-over-year in 2005 based primarily on implementations of Epicor for Service Enterprises.  As one of the first Epicor partners to deploy Epicor for Service Enterprises for customers in Europe, Epaccsys quickly established itself as an innovator within the ESA vertical market.  “The concept of Web services-based applications was starting to gain popularity and the benefits to the end-user in implementation, support and deployment was clear.  We found potential customers with relative ease,” said Ian Garvey, co-founder and director of Epaccsys.

Epaccsys customer ClinPhone, the most trusted name in the clinical technology industry serving most of the world’s top pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations, conducts its customers’ clinical trials projects across 88 countries and in 71 languages.  “Using Epicor for Service Enterprises, we have more than halved the time it takes to get our invoices out the door whilst almost doubling our project turnover,” said John Whitmarsh, systems accountant for ClinPhone. “This has improved our cash flow and contributes directly to the bottom line.”

“In Epicor for Service Enterprises we have the benchmark solution which is working in proven real world implementations and continuing to evolve to offer further benefits to our clients in all business areas,” said Garvey. Epaccsys is currently working on a major Epicor for Service Enterprises project with a global IT services provider to help manage its technical and support staff which will offer major benefits for around 1,000 users.

Emerald Consulting Partners and Exotek also report successful results from customer implementations of Epicor for Service Enterprises.  The consultants, technology specialists and software engineers at Attleboro, Mass.-based Emerald Consulting specialize in Microsoft .NET technologies making Epicor for Service Enterprises a good fit for Emerald and its customers.  “Epicor for Service Enterprises’ service-oriented architecture (SOA) creates a solution environment that is both flexible and functional and we are able to leverage our expertise with .NET to complete truly tailored ESA implementations for our customers,” said Armand Brunelle, president of Emerald Consulting.

With offices in Waterloo, Ontario and Davenport, Iowa, Exotek values the benefits the Epicor Partners for Growth program offers.  “Our relationship with Epicor as an authorized consultant and VAR provides the necessary support and ‘inside information’ to allow Exotek to customize each application to meet our clients’ needs,” said Cathy Bennett, technical consultant for Exotek.
