Co-founder and sales manager Eric Radtke explained, "We have customers who have been patronizing our company for as long as 4 or 5 years, and we wanted to reward their loyalty by putting them ahead of new sales." This follows the company's credo that "customers are our first priority".
The company's new website and identity is designed to help the company stand out from the thousands of startup hosts that have flooded the market in recent years. The website features an upbeat, humorous personality. Radtke explains the tagline, "seriously fun hosting," by stating, "We want people to understand that, while our staff takes our hosting very seriously, we love what we do and aren't afraid to have a little fun." This attitude is carried out across the site and in the company's quirky advertisements, which are slated for widespread release in fall 2005.
InterSurge also announced other improvements, including an upgraded support center, helpdesk, and the addition of a toll-free emergency support number. The company is also running a 50% sale on new shared hosting accounts in conjunction with InterSurge's 5th anniversary celebration.
