Keisch as chief financial officer and treasurer, while Chief Executive Officer Kirby G. "Buddy" Pickle has been named president. The appointments were made effective Sept. 23, 2005.
Keisch, who has served as DSL.net's vice president of finance for nearly five years, brings extensive knowledge of the Company's financial affairs as well as significant financial management experience to his new roles with the Company.
"I am delighted that Walt will be taking on the important roles of CFO and treasurer," said Pickle, president and chief executive officer of DSL.net.
Pickle, who has been CEO since April 2004, will be taking on the familiar dual responsibilities of president and chief executive officer.
He is a former president and CEO of Velocita Corporation and his background also includes dual roles as president and chief operating officer of Teligent, UUNet and MFS Communications.
The Pickle and Keisch appointments fill two vacancies created by the recent resignations of the Company's former president and former CFO, who have both accepted senior management positions with organizations outside the telecommunications industry.
