2ndSite Inc. (www.2ndSite.biz) announced the availability of version 2.10 of its secure online invoicing service for the small office/home office (SOHO) market. The new version adds enhanced client contact capabilities and inventory management to the simple-yet-robust service designed to help businesses save money and manage their billing processes more efficiently.
In North America, more than 90 per cent of all businesses are classified as small or home offices. Although these entrepreneurs drive the economy, they often rely on services and solutions geared towards enterprise-level companies.
"I used a major finance and accounting software program for several years, and was frustrated by the confusing features, making the process of billing my clients time consuming," says Dominique Bortolussi of The Working Group, a Web design and development studio based in Toronto.
"Since I started using 2ndSite, my invoicing time has been slashed by 75 per cent. I'm also getting paid almost two weeks faster than before."
2ndSite is a secure online solution that gives users access to their business accounts 24/7 from any computer with Internet access – even dial-up. In addition to the new features, the service allows users to track customer requests and time spent on projects, swap documents, run reports, and create and deliver invoices.
The service is upgraded regularly by 2ndSite based on customer requests. "Inventory management and support for multiple contacts were both things our customers wanted, so it made sense to add those features," said company CEO Michael McDerment.
2ndSite's affordable service is free to use for businesses with two or less employees and 10 or less customers, and provides reasonable scaled rates for larger companies.
"I've used other systems and 2ndSite is far superior," said Frank Petronick, a Johnstown, PA-based IT consultant who works with both private and non-profit clients.
