"Hire great people and expect them to perform." This is a familiar refrain to those who have worked with Enrique Salem throughout his career and he brought this philosophy with him to Brightmail as the company's president and CEO. Salem's arrival at Brightmail in 2002 ushered in a refocus on the company's core competency – anti-spam software – as well as a new commitment to meeting the needs of the enterprise segment and the creation of a new sales distribution model. Under the innovative leadership of Salem, Brightmail has emerged as the recognized market leader in the anti-spam software category.
