CommentsSYDNEY - Wednesday 3rd March, 2004 - Destra Corporation Limited (ASX:DES) and Yahoo! Australia & NZ Pty Ltd today announced an exclusive partnership to target the SME market with a new co-branded service utilising Destra's core OzHosting.com business.
"There is a significant opportunity in the market for the provision of integrated web services for SMEs" said Destra CEO, Domenic Carosa. "In a consolidating market, Yahoo! and Destra have brokered an agreement that solves the problem for SMEs dealing with multiple vendors".
"Destra and Yahoo! have common objectives in servicing the SME sector." said Yahoo! Australia and NZ Managing Director, Cliff Rosenberg. "Destra's specific expertise in web hosting matched with Yahoo!'s SME product range and marketing capability provides a complete service for SME customers wishing to either get online for the first time or to expand their existing web capabilities."
Marketed under a new co-branded mark, the initiative will see both companies strengthen their position in the SME marketplace. Products tailored for the Australian market will become available at ‘smallbusiness.yahoo.com.au' and ‘ozhosting.com'.
Yahoo! and Destra will continue to work together to explore other opportunities that could be marketed through the Yahoo! SME portal, including those in South East Asia.
