RESTON, Va., Dec 3, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Since adding Gillette to its client roster in October 2001, Internet operations management firm Global Office Connect, Inc. (GOC, www.globalofficeconnect.com) has enjoyed steady growth in a sector that has largely declined in recent years. Now GOC announces that it has renewed hosting agreements with Gillette brands Braun and Duracell, and has signed two new clients: entertainment marketing firm US Concepts and digital media management provider eMotion, Inc.

Something of an anomaly among its competitors, GOC has been both debt-free and profitable every month since its early days. The company expects to double its revenue in 2003.

"While other managed hosting companies are exiting the business, Global Office Connect has been able to attract premier customers, maintain its profit margins, and hire some pretty impressive talent," said senior vice president Bill McChesney. "In addition, we are in talks with some well-known companies who are transitioning to GOC's more stable environment."

That stable environment means fewer headaches for those GOC clients faced with relocating data centers. After widespread data center closings last year, hosting customers industry-wide were forced to relocate to new data centers; many will need to move again this year as a result of Intel Online, Exodus/Cable & Wireless and other data centers closing. To ease the transition, GOC is providing free data center relocations and installations for affected customers through January 31, 2002.

"We know how painful it is to relocate an entire Web infrastructure, and we can provide the financial and engineering stability our clients need to ensure this never happens again," said McChesney. "As long as we continue to exceed customer expectations and run our operation with integrity, our growth should be consistent over the next three years."

The company's recent partnership with Equinix plays a large role in its ability to offer clients such uninterrupted service. An October merger bumped Equinix's network to 14 data centers in six countries, making it one of the most stable data center operators in the U.S.

"New customers are shocked at the level of security and customer support they receive from the Global Office/Equinix team," said Ted Davis of Equinix. "We are also finding that we are actually less expensive than the competitors that are closing their data centers."
