Interview with AIHSP Founding Comittee president Paul Hirsch

The Association of Internet and Hosting Service Providers (AIHSP) launched at this year's HostingCon in Chicago. Its purpose was announced as "serving the shared interests of providers and vendors in the Web hosting and Internet services industry." In a video interview, Paul Hirsch, president of the AIHSP Founding Committee, provides more insight about the organization.

HostReview: How long have you been in the webhosting business?

Con Zwinkels:We now manage more than 11,000 servers and I started with only one in 1997. Many of our clients from those early years still use our services to their full satisfaction.

Why offer Linux hosting plans?

EasyCGI used to be something of a rarity among web hosting providers, offering Windows Server hosting exclusively. This changed last month, when the company started offering Linux Virtual Private Server (VPS) plans. We contacted Mr. Ted Beckwith, Vice President of EasyCGI, to ask him a few questions about the company's decision to expand into Linux territory.
