We proudly present the new HostReview blog

The DevStart team is proud to announce the launch of the HostReview blog. We believe that a new format of presenting content and interacting with you, our readers, will create a more vibrant online community, dedicated to web hosting and internet technology issues.

HostReview has provided insight on the hosting industry for ten years, since its launch in 1998; now the website is being updated to suit the changing expectations of visitors. The blog is the latest addition to an existing line-up of content: monthly award listings, a host search service, the daily industry news, and a selection of articles on related topics.

Why is the blog necessary? It fills a niche between the industry news and the hosting articles: the industry news come hot from the PR departments of companies and present a company's pitch on their latest offering or service; articles give the unique viewpoint of industry insiders, but do not necessarily concern themselves with the happenings of the day -- after all, widely-used technology and practices are often years old. DevStart's intention is to the bridge this gap with the HostReview blog, where you willl get a daily digest of hosting news and trends posts, provided by a team of editors and contributing authors.

The blog will also offer a simple and user-friendly way for you, our readers, to provide your own viewpoint and spread the word about things that interest you. In other words, we have set up prominent RSS feed, commenting and social bookmarking functionalities. Further improvements, like voting on content and comments, are in the pipeline.
